Haven

Haven can be developed along the following lines

- Social Fit : The house of the dead, scares people. When people approach the house they get an auto awareness check to be “on edge”, if they are on edge then they gain a resistance to natural and supernatural attempts to influence them. Can never be higher than the highest Expression value of any member of the coterie

- Size : What area of the haven is usable and secure from the effects of sunlight. Size taing can never be higher than the highest Resources value of any member of the coterie

- Security : Not only how safe the haven is from intruders but how hard it is to escape from once inside if the coterie decide that some one should not be getting out. Also if the haven is invaded it applies to the level of protection of the kindred’s actual sleeping location. Security rating can never be higher than the highest larceny value of any member of the coterie.

- Library : Books are collected from passing ships, traders and other people to build up a small private resource. Any research check that requires looking into books and the like is limited by the investment (number of dots) in the library. Library rating can never be higher than the highest Academics value of any member of the coterie.

- Sanctuary : Location used for any occult practices. As well as for the safe storage (and maybe creation) of relics. Powers that require an alter or the like, relic creation and various other powers are limited by the investment (number of dots) in the sanctuary. Sanctuary rating can never be higher than the highest Occult value of any member of the coterie.

- Armory represents weapons. Each dot gives a % chance, each month, of having any given item

  • One Dot Items : 20% per invested Dot
  • Two Dot Items : 17% per invested Dot
  • Three Dot Items : 14% per invested Dot
  • Four Dot Items : 11% per invested Dot
  • Five Dot Items : 8% per invested Dot

A Haven Merit “Improved Armory” Cost 6 exp adds 20% to all rolls. Armory size is limited by the players with the highest resources and firearms.

- Cache represents man portable non-weapon equipment. Each dot gives a % chance, each month, of having any given item

  • One Dot Items : 20% per invested Dot
  • Two Dot Items : 17% per invested Dot
  • Three Dot Items : 14% per invested Dot
  • Four Dot Items : 11% per invested Dot
  • Five Dot Items : 8% per invested Dot

A Haven Merit “Improved Cache” Cost 6 exp adds 20% to all rolls. Cache size is limited by the players with the highest contacts and streetwise. The availability of an item is restricted based on having the right contacts.

- Workshop allows for a different " workshop based craft" to be used in the Haven per each dot (chosen when each dot is purchased). A Haven Merit "Expanded Workshop " Cost 6 exp would doubles the number of crafts per dot (Can be bought twice) . Workshop size is limited by the player with the highest Craft and resources (using lowest of the two values). The investment size limits the craft pool of checks to investment + 2.

- Surgery allows for a room to be dedicated as a “hospital” . Each dot represents the number of people who can be treated at one time. Size is limited to the highest Medicine stat in the coterie. The investment size limits the Medicine pool of Medicine to investment + 2.
